Patience...

Patience is something I do not always have....like in traffic, in grocery store lines, etc. (I'll stop there). But, I ask that you have patience with me for two reasons:

1) I sometimes go crazy and post LOTS of pictures/posts at once (like tonight). So, please take a few moments to scroll down and enjoy seeing our little baby change so drastically before your very eyes (I know, I'm being a bit dramatic...but it's crazy how much he is growing).

2) I am HORRIBLE/TERRIBLE/DESPICABLE when it comes to thank you notes!! I have never been on top of writing them and sending them out. I have a lot left to write to all of you who have given us such wonderful gifts for our sweet baby. I am trying to work on them in the coming weeks. So, please be patient with me. We have been blessed with amazing friends and family and no thank-you note can communicate how amazing you all are to us....not just because of gifts....but especially because of your love, encouragement, prayers, etc.

Today Michael is 5 MONTHS OLD!!!! SERIOUSLY!!!

5 Months This Weekend

Michael turns 5 months on Sunday. I figure it would be a good time for some then and now.

Last Friday....a Friday of firsts!!!

Michael met Jessica for the first time..and LOVES her! In fact, he rolled all the way over for the first time for her. He went right for her :-).

Trying out the jumperoo for the first time! He has also recently discovered that Buddy (the cat) exists...can't you see the excitement?! It's either because of the jumping or the scheming...he attempted to grab Buddy's tail.

After Jessica left, we went for a walk as a family. Michael fell asleep in the carrier. It had been a big day. Meeting Jessica, rolling all the way over, and trying out the jumperoo for the first time.

Bad Aunt Heather

Ashley and Matt left Hailey in my care for a bit and I decided to let Hailey help me make brownies!

So far, so good!

Aunt Heather knows the outcome, but yet lets Hailey keep the spoon!

In fact, putting chocolate on her finger was encouraged.

But, it was sooo yummy!

I really should be careful what I do as an aunt since my siblings can pay me back now. I can say with confidence that I have taught each of my nieces and nephews things my siblings rather me not do. I LOVE being an aunt :-)!

Fourth of July

So excited to see the fireworks!

I think Michael and Hailey look a lot like brother and sister!

We saw amazing fireworks at Northside Park in Ocean City, MD.

Michael absolutely loved watching the fireworks. He couldn't keep his eyes off of them and the loud booms did not scare him one bit. He only got mad when Aunt Ashley covered his ears during the finale.
