Lately

A picture of the parents....I figured I could mix it up a bit from the usual cuteness that is our son! This is from Kristin and Mike's wedding in Annapolis a few weeks ago! It was gorgeous!

Eating more "finger" foods. This is actually a mini-bagel even though it looks big! Michael loved eating this new food.

We had a sunshine picnic the week before last. It was just too gorgeous out and Michael and I decided to soak up the sun. We sometimes have cuddle picnics inside where we lay out on a blanket and just cuddle. Michael will roll around and give me kisses and I'll be silly, making him laugh. But, this particular day our cuddle picnic became a sunshine picnic.

Weekend in MD

So we were down in Maryland this past weekend for a wedding. Here's us dropping Michael off at Diane and Randy's. Julia and Amanda were nice enough to watch Michael. He tells us he had a great time. More pictures to come.

Up to no good!!!

I went to take the trash outside yesterday morning (gone less than 10 seconds...our trash closet is on our front porch) and when I came back this is what I found:

Yes, those are Chinese symbols. I'm not sure what the little man did, but that was the result. It is scary how similar he is to Jason as a baby (mischievous) and even now (wanting to be around cords, electrical things, computers, and TVs). I think I may book a vacation that leaves tomorrow and comes back on Michael's wedding day :-).

It is awesome he is crawling and at the same time I know I am in for a long, exhausting road! But, it will be one filled with laughter and smiles too. He is just too amazingly adorable!!!

Crawling!

Michael has started crawling...w00 h00! He actually started crawling BACKWARDS last Monday. It was the funniest thing ever! He was attempting to get closer to a toy and he started rocking. I thought that would be the moment he inched forward....but, he inched backward. He continued to do that for a week and would get frustrated when he ended up further away from an object. After spending a weekend with Josiah and meeting Maeryn (who both crawl), Michael must have been really motivated. I went to a NKOTB concert on Tuesday night and while I was waiting outside to get into the arena, Jason called to tell me that Michael inched FORWARD. Now he is a moving machine! I was so happy that Jason was able to be home when he crawled. I wish I could have been there too, but I got to see him inched backwards for the first time :-).

Sitting Up

Over the past few weeks Michael has been starting to sit up on his own. At first he would do it for a few seconds and then fall over. He kept increasing how long he could sit up on his own and now he sits up for a long time before becoming slightly unsteady. That usually happens when he is tired or too focused on a toy! He is doing a great job, though!
